Congratulations on making the decision to start your own business!
This orientation will help you do 1 simple daily task so that you are touching your business every day. You will need to be doing additional tasks when you have events coming up.

This orientation is designed to be completed on weekdays (M-F) for 20 days. You will be given the opportunity during the orientation to set your own schedule. If you decide to do more than one task each day, make sure you are doing something else to build your business on the other days. If you have any questions, contact your team leader. She is happy to help you.
Day 1:
> Write down a reminder to do SOMETHING for your business each day.
> Find your team survey and fill it out to help us help YOU better!
Day 2:
Schedule your launch parties this week!
They don't need to be held this week, but your first party should be held within 7 days.
Make a goal to hold 6 parties within your first 30 days and you'll be on your way to your kit refund!

Your script is important for the flow of your parties, whether online or at a home show.
Your script should be uniquely yours.
Your guests will be able to tell if you are comfortable with your script or not.

It's your first evaluation day! Today we want you to think of EVERYTHING you have already accomplished since you started your own business. Where are you at now? Think about your goals. Are you heading in the right direction? Think of any questions you might have so far, and check in with you team leader! We are so excited to hear from you and talk about your progress and direction.

Increase your Product Knowledge

Day 13:
Opinion Appointments
Book 3 opinion appointments today to be held in the next 3 weeks.
Basically... Invite a friend over, ask their opinion about specific books... easy peasy.
Day 14:
You'll need graphics for your parties. You can't just use any old graphic you pull off Facebook or Google- even if another consultant posted it. You'll need to be able to tell the difference between a "bad" graphic and one that is branding approved. You can find the guidelines in the
Branding Manual
Your task is to find 10 branding approved graphics and share them on your team page.

Why you should recruit, and how to do it guilt-free!
Consider building your team:
* To help spread literacy- it is our mission after all!
* They might need the money, books, time away, friends, recognition, or anything else UBAM has to offer! Didn't you NEED one of these?
*Find new friends or spend more time with friends you already have!
* By building your team, you will be able to promote and give yourself a raise!
Reminder: MOST people are already looking for a business/direct sales company where they can make a little extra money by working mostly from home. WHY NOT UBAM??
It's our job to offer them the option.
DAY 16:
Parties are a BIG part of our business. There are other options out there though!
Now it's time to think outside the box. These options are especially great when you need to meet a goal, or if you are stuck in a party rut. There are MANY ways to build your business. Take a look at these, or brainstorm some of your own.

Even though you don't have a large inventory, you can still do an order-only preschool book fair and/or e-fair.
**Reminder** You must be an educational consultant to work with schools and libraries, but you do not need to be one to work with preschools or day cares that aren't connected to a kindergarten or higher.

Task 2= Contact 2 preschools in your area
